Equity Minute: Treaties Recognition Week
Treaties Recognition Week is recognized the first week of November in the place currently called Ontario. It was introduced to honour the enduring importance of treaties, treaty rights, and treaty relationships. Treaties Recognition Week also responds to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action to build treaty awareness. Throughout this week and beyond, devote time to learning about treaties and what it means to be a treaty person independently, as well as alongside colleagues and students.
