The KAIROS Blanket Exercise™ program is a unique, interactive and participatory history lesson developed in collaboration with Indigenous Elders, knowledge keepers and educators. Participants will explore First Nation, Métis, and Inuit perspectives and literally ‘walk’ through situations that include pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization and resistance. This event is open to ETFO Contract Teachers and includes release time for the afternoon workshop. Space is limited to members who have not previously participated in the Kairos Blanket Exercise. Members who are registering are asked to commit staying for the full workshop, which is scheduled to end at 3:30 p.m. A light lunch will be provided.
