Join us in reading "The Barren Grounds" by David A. Robertson. (Robertson is an award-winning children's author and member of Norway House Cree Nation.) This middle-grade fantasy novel holds wide appeal and addresses such issues as identity, family, environmental stewardship, the foster care system, cultural appropriation, and indigenous connection to the land. Together, we will learn from the experiences of others and have the opportunity to share, explore, and apply our learning.
